Innovate with Ballerina

Innovate with Ballerina stands as a landmark initiative organized by the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Moratuwa in collaboration with WSO2, bringing together university students from across Sri Lanka to explore creative applications of the Ballerina programming language. The event fosters a competitive and collaborative environment, empowering participants to enhance their technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and innovative thinking. The hackathon commenced with an introductory session, followed by technical workshops on Data Handling and AI Capabilities in Ballerina, preparing participants to develop solutions for real-world challenges. Teams competed to design and implement their projects, culminating in a Grand Finale and Awards Ceremony at WSO2, where top teams were recognized for their innovative achievements and practical applications of Ballerina. The event leaves a lasting impact on students, inspiring the next generation of software developers and innovators, and reinforcing its reputation as a transformative platform in Sri Lanka’s technological and educational landscape.
