OpenWeek

IEEE OpenWeek is organized by the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Moratuwa, bringing together students, professionals, and industry partners for four days of interactive sessions, activities, and networking opportunities.The event welcomed 420 new members to the IEEE community, expanding its presence on campus. The IEEE OpenWeek 2025 featured a diverse range of activities: Day 1 focused on IEEE awareness with interactive games and a physical hackathon to encourage teamwork; Day 2 highlighted IEEE chapters, allowing undergraduates to explore technical fields and engage with specialized chapters; and Day 3 celebrated new members through the induction ceremony, a guest speaker session by Mr. Peshan Sampath, and the launch of the official newsletter and website, concluding with a vibrant DJ Night. IEEE Open Week successfully enhances engagement, expands outreach, and delivers a seamless experience for all participants.
