Roboroaz

RoboRoarZ Sri Lanka 2025 is a founding initiative organized by the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Moratuwa, bringing the globally recognized RoboRoarZ competition to Sri Lanka for the very first time. Targeted at university students across the island and beyond, it aims to ignite interest in robotics and STEM while bridging the gap between emerging talent and the rapidly advancing world of technology. The competition unfolds across multiple rounds, starting with an online elimination round followed by a two-day on-site grand finale. The final stage features two core challenges: Smorphi Imaginary (simulation-based design) and Smorphi Autonomous (real-world execution), where teams apply engineering and design-thinking skills using the Smorphi robotic platform. Participants also gain practical experience in robot design and development through expert-led workshops, mentorship from industry professionals and academics, and access to the international RoboRoarZ network and resources.
